From quick on the go bites to nice dinner options, here are a few food recommendations and student favourites to help navigate the overwhelming quantity of options central has. If these don't take your fancy there will certainly be somewhere within a 10 minute walk that would!

brunel sandwich shop

Brunel's is right on KCL's strand campus and is extremely popular with KCL students for a lunchtime bite. A proper deli sandwich shop.

  • Loads of different ingredients and options

  • There are three outdoor tables but this is really more of a takeaway focused place

  • Open from 7am-4pm, closed on weekends

  • Their most popular item on the menu is the Italian Job, priced at £7.50 but there are other options priced lower, i.e. £4/5

  • Nearest station = Temple

eat tokyo

A Japanese owned restaurant chain, Eat Tokyo. With 8 different locations spanning across London, pictured is their Covent Garden branch.

  • Offers a vast menu of authentic Japanese cuisine.

  • More of a casual/informal dining experience - great for both lunch and dinner.

  • Pricing is extremely reasonable 

  • Nearest station = Covent Garden

Voted as one of London's best Italians, Bancone serves an array of delicious, freshly made pasta. They have 3 locations all in Central, pictured is their Covent Garden branch.

  • A slightly more fancy dinner spot, ambient lighting and a very pleasant atmosphere.

  •  The pricing for a restaurant such as this is pretty standard, plates average at about £13

  • Usually quite busy, reservations are recommended!!

  • Nearest stations = Charing Cross, Leicester Square and Covent Garden

seoul bakery

A wholesome family owned, independent eatery serving authentic Korean food for extremely reasonable prices!

  • Often have to queue in peak hours, this however serves as a great indicator of its quality!

  • No reservations, only walk-ins

  • Super small restaurant, seats approx 15 people

  • Fast service

  • Plates average at £8 - 6 gyozas cost only £3!!!

  • Nearest station = Tottenham Court Road

seven dials market

Seven dials is a tasty food hall located in Covent Garden. Hosting 20 unique food venders and 2 bars, this venue provides a variety of food options for one to choose from!

  • Plenty of different cuisines to choose from

  • Some of the traders offer lunch deals but prices do tend to vary.

  • Is mainly walk-ins but can book tables in Bar Nana

  •  Nearest station = Tottenham Court Road
